We prioritize sustainability through responsibly sourced materials and eco-friendly production processes, aiming to minimize our environmental impact by engaging in various CSR activities.
Our commitment to the environment includes using recycled metals, reduce, treat and recycle water, reducing waste, reduce and treat emissions, using solar energy at 30% capacity of all energy consumed and implementing energy-efficient methods in our manufacturing. We believe that beautiful jewelry should not come at the expense of the planet, and we strive to create products that are as sustainable as they are stunning. In addition to our sustainable practices, we publish a GRI report yearly to ensure transparency and accountability in our efforts.
Solar Energy
In 2021, Salamander Jewelry installed 847 solar cells, covering 1,694 square meters. These panels supply 30% of our annual energy needs, significantly reducing our reliance on traditional electricity and supporting global efforts to lower greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative underscores our commitment to being a green and environmentally friendly manufacturer.
Water Management
Since setting up an on-site wastewater treatment facility in 2015, Salamander Jewelry has been recycling wastewater from all production processes. This system has allowed us to recycle 3,345m³ of water annually, totaling 23,400m³ by 2021. In 2025, we aim to further improve water quality and increase our recycling target to 4,400m³ per year, significantly reducing our overall water consumption.
Carbon Footprint
At Salamander Jewelry, we are committed to transparency and environmental responsibility. As the first jewelry manufacturer globally to assess and calculate the carbon footprint of each product, we provide a detailed analysis of the greenhouse gas emissions associated with production, from raw material extraction to the final piece. Our calculation method considers various factors, including energy consumption, transportation, and waste management, ensuring a comprehensive overview of our environmental impact. The carbon footprint scores for each product are published on our website, offering customers clear insight into the sustainability of their choices.
Recognized by Thailand’s Greenhouse Gas Management Organization, this initiative underscores our dedication to mitigating global warming and driving meaningful change within the industry, setting new standards for environmentally responsible manufacturing.
Biodegradeable Zip Bags
Our biodegradable zip bags, crafted from plant-based materials, decompose within 3-5 years, a significant improvement compared to traditional plastic bags that take over 300 years to break down. These eco-friendly alternatives reflect our commitment to sustainable practices and reducing plastic pollution.
We also offer customized branded zip bags, allowing clients to enhance their packaging while staying environmentally conscious.
Zero Waste
Salamander Jewelry is committed to leading the way in environmental waste reduction. Our zero waste goal includes eliminating scrap material, avoiding single-use plastic boxes, and providing reusable cloth bags for employees. We also implement rigorous waste sorting with three containment bins in every room for material reclamation and melt excess metal for reuse.
Additionally, we strive to minimize energy consumption by optimizing production processes and use eco-friendly packaging for shipments, further reducing our environmental footprint. Through these efforts, we ensure that sustainability remains at the core of our operations.

Casting Powder Refining and Repurposing
At Salamander Body Jewelry, sustainability is integrated into every aspect of our production. One of our standout initiatives is the Casting Powder Recycling and Repurposing process, a complex and innovative method where all casting powder used in manufacturing is carefully recycled and repurposed. Instead of discarding this material, we incorporate it into various stages of production, maximizing its use and minimizing waste.
This approach significantly reduces our environmental impact while ensuring that every aspect of our process contributes to a more sustainable and efficient manufacturing cycle.
